Cascading Dreams is an original composition by renowned flutist James Marienthal who is joined by virtuoso pianist Mark Kelso. The collaboration of Native American style flute and piano gels beautifully with these two gifted musicians flowing gently into a contemplative stream of music that gradually cascades into a spirited improvisational jam inspired by waterfalls and rivers from around the world. This is the second of three new tracks released by Marienthal in 2023.
Featured artist Mark Kelso has had an illustrious career as both a recording artist and producer. He has several releases on the Narada record label and more on his own Muddy Angel Music label. His music has been acclaimed by many luminaries from spiritual leaders Deepak Choprah and Dan Millman, to piano greats Dave Brubeck and George Winston.

Based in Boulder, CO, James Marienthal’s previous album release: “Speak to the Sky” was described by the Boulder Daily Camera as “a stirring collection of auditory bliss", and New Age Music Guide acclaimed it as “one of 2020’s finest meditation albums, just when the world needed it the most.” The album reached the top 10 on five different radio charts. His music has been acclaimed by The World Flute Society as "Extraordinary music... ethereal, spiritual, meditative, and absolutely amazing”.

Marienthal studied music and jazz improvisation at Bard College and Naropa University. He plays various indigenous flutes, silver flute, piano, and percussion. He is a published songwriter, library music composer, and is well known as owner and producer for the Grammy-winning new age/ world music label Silver Wave Records.
